90's Future.

Some 90's inspiration in my hairstyle today. After seing this hairstyle a few time on instagram and during New York Fashion Week, I wanted to try it too! I have to say that this winter, I've been literally obsessed with faux-fur and fluffy coats.

New York is always inspiring me a lot. Walking down the streets, watching around, talking to strangers give me tons and tons of ideas. I am personally someone who love enjoying the little pleasure of life, eating pizza or heading to dunkin donuts at 4am to get a little ham & cheese sandwich while having maybe too much alcohol in my blood! Who cares? We are young and wild.

Coming to the city is always a good idea. Every time I spend time here, I realise how much I like this lifestyle. I am not talking about the food or the millions starbucks coffee around me (ok I appreciate this too) but more about the mentality of people and the way they see life. Without to think too far away, most of the people live in the present and we can definitely feel it!

Facing the cold in New York isn't a joke and those pictures are the proof of it! While I was about to shoot this look with my dear Jordan, the cold wind started to whisper and to be honest with you, I didn't expect to shoot my look in this way. I was wearing my new favorite dress from adidas with my black coat and I really wanted to show you this dress but the weather make me close my coat hardly and put my poncho around me even during the shoot. Impossible for me to take out anything from me or I would die straight on the street... sometimes we have to deal with the weather! Anyway, I also love the look with my poncho over my coat and...layering in winter is a true story guys!

Facing the cold in the city isn't always fun. This weekend in New York the temperature are extremely cold as we are expecting between -15°C -and -30°C. To be honest with you, I thought of staying home the next days and going out only for starbucks, I mean I have a starbucks coffee down the building...

I did so many things the past days, time flies when I am here. I didn't even realise that I didn't post on the blog for a few days and sorry about that! I went out a lot in many different clubs and by the I hope you are following me on snapchat --> bangbangblond. I am always snapping and giving you the address of the places I go!

A few days ago when my friend Leo was in Town, we enjoyed some time in Williamsburg Brooklyn. This is a place that I don't know very well but I love it! It is the perfect neighbourhood if you want to have some delicious food, walk, drinks and find many little boutiques. When you are staying in Manhattan, you can breathe the fresh air while in Brooklyn. There is less traffic, less people and you feel no stress over there. On that day I was wearing a comfy all black outfit. You definitely can't go wrong with black.

Success story à la Française, ba&sh

A few weeks ago at the opening of the first ba&sh store in Switzerland (Geneva), I had the pleasure to meet and interview two incredible women, Barbara Boccara & Sharon Krief the two creators of the French brand ba&sh.

During this special moment shared with them, I felt a symbiosis between the two childhood friends. They complete each other sentences, Barbara speaks on Sharon's name and conversely. While the waiter offers us a chocolate, Sharon exclaims: "Barbara, don't you like it? Because if Barbara does not like it, I'll love it! Contrary to fashion, we don't have at all the same taste with food." Humble and proud of the success achieved with their brand, they always exclaim theirself with a ton of enthusiasm when they talk about their collections. Mostly inspired by their friends and themselves, the collections are conceived in function of their wishes and needs. A success story à la française that was born with one and single goal: Creating a project together.

THE BEGINNING:
Barbara and Sharon launched the brand ba&sh in 2003 and it is almost by chance, as they both don't come from the fashion industry. Barbara was working as a PR and Sharon was a lawyer. While they could have opened a restaurant or a café, an investor offered them the opportunity to start a prêt-à-porter business. Without any idea about the fashion business, the two women decided to position theirself with a consumer vision by creating a brand that would be between the luxe and the mass market. High-quality products with affordable prices.

THE POWER TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE:
We often say that difference is an asset. A true story for the brand ba&sh. Two different women with an unwavering friendship, their different ideas and desires enrich each of their collections. "If Barbara wants to create a model that I do not like, it does not matter because there are a lots of ba&sh women! So we produce it and include this piece in our collection". The two women work in the same office close to each other. They are always aware of each other activities.

SUCCESS STORY, THE SECRET:
"Our strength is probably that we don’t come from the fashion industry but from the Street.” The story of the brand is based on a great friendship. Unpretentious, they have embarked on an adventure where passion, friendship and hard work drove them to success.

THE BA&SH W:
The ba&sh woman is a woman who loves life, an happy womand who likes traveling and who is active. She looks like Barbara & Sharon friends. The ba&sh woman is evolving with Barbara & Sharon, she takes care of her. Even a Yoga collection is coming soon!

THEIR VISION OF FASHION:
"We create and produce at first what we want to wear!" This season, both of them are craving for capes, belted coats and can't wait for spring to wear long printed dresses. When I ask them which essentials every woman should have in her wardrobe, they answered me without any hesitation: "A little black dress and a Jeans, we all need a great pair of jeans!”

A CRAZY DREAM:
After developing their brand to the international, our 2 French designers have a crazy dream: “Why not opening a ba&sh hotel" they said. "A place where we could receive our friends and sharing some good times!"

Scenic View from Brooklyn.

I am back! After a few exciting days in the city, I am finally sharing my first pictures from New York! The past days were kind of busy as a friend of mine was in the city for a few days and I did the New Yorker tour guide for him! As you know, I came quite often in the city and don't really "visit" anymore. I mean, there is always something to explore in this city but I don't go all the time to the Basics Tourists spots like Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Rockefeller! I do enjoy going there but I don't cross the Brooklyn bridge every time I am in the city! One thing I can say (people following me on snapchat saw it) is that we ATE like crazy! I will have to control myself for the next weeks because we did tons and tons of "cheat" meals! Going to talk about all those places in the next post!

For a long day of walk like we always do in New York, I love wearing a comfy pair of sneakers like my new adidas Stan Smith. On that day, the weather wasn't crazy cold but still a bit windy and chilly. I wore my favorite faux fur jacket which kept me warm all day! To carry my camera and all my stuffs, I always need a medium size bag - Before leaving for New York, I got this new one from Moschino (Available on Zalando) and it is just the perfect bag for visiting a city! I am wearing it everyday!

We took those pictures at the end of the day after walking a little 13km (an application told us that... haha). You can see that my bun and my make up was at the end of their life!

Winter Culotte.

Hello, Good morning!

The weather in Switzerland is currently very clement for the season! We won't complain about it! It so pleasant to get dress without having to wear a thousands layers on you! On that day, I was wearing some of my currents favorite pieces. I love every kind of culotte trousers and I own a few of them. I especially love wearing them with boots, it gives a winter style to the look.

Are you ready to start a new week? For me it's going to be very intense the next days as I am leaving for New York on Wednesday morning! It's time to start packing again, which is something that I don't like that much. You may ask why I don't like it, it is essentially because I always want to bring everything with me... drama! I can't believe, I will be back in the city in a few days only! So to make sure I am not going to spend my Tuesday night packing, I already started to check the main things that I am sure to bring with me. As I am staying 3 weeks in the city, I have to think about so many things : beauty products, outfits for the day, outfits for the night, shoes for any occasions, accessories, and all my working stuffs like my macbook, my chargers, my camera etc etc....! Last year, I did a little checklist for when I travel and I now use it all the time to make sure I didn't forget anything!  It is so useful and I would recommend you to write one as well! Oh maybe I could share it with you, is that something that may interest you? LET ME KNOW ! I can write a special article about packing! It can save your holidays! And you know...as a fashion blogger, I always want to have as many outfits possibilities as I can and it would be a drama to forget something like my camera!

Oh and I almost forget to tell you an exciting project! Last week, I had a meeting with a brand that I admire a lot for years and years! I am so happy to annonce you that I am going to work this year with the prestigious brand Calvin Klein as one of their Swiss digitale ambassador! I am so excited about it and I can't wait to share more about it with all of you!

See you very soon on BBB !
