Holla Holla! Cómo estás ?
On this Monday morning I want to talk about something that we ALL love during summer : Open Air Festivals! In Switzerland we are pretty lucky as we have many of them around the country. Frauenfeld, Montreux Jazz, Gurten, Open Air Zürich and the Paléo just to name a few of them! From rock and pop, to Jazz and Hip hop, this is THE places to be for all music lovers!
As a person who loves fashion, festivals are very inspiring. Do you remember how the Coachella's Looks were spotted in all fashion magazines? It's always insane! We heard more about celebrity's look than the lineup! Depending on which festival you are attending the style you will adopt can be totally different. If you are about to go to the famous Glastonbury festival in UK, you better have a pair of Hunter on your feet with a casual but very cool outfit (Alexa Chung will be around, so you know...). Attending the Coachella? Of course you will go for a Bohemian or Indy look...(you may bump into Kendal Jenner or Katy Perry... so... you know!). In Switzerland, our festival are not that categorised. The Montreux Jazz festival is for example in the beautiful city of Montreux and everything happens on the lake side. You will hangout in the streets but also in some parcs. Your look has to be versatile as you never know how and where you will end! I will share with you very soon the look I wore to attend the Lenny Kravitz concert in Montreux!
How to get ready for a festival ? First... I know we all love wearing heels because it looks pretty and make our legs looks longer. I know that we all have this pair of very comfy heels that we think will never hurts our feet but seriously...It's kamikaze to wear heels for a day at the festival (except if your name is Kim Kardashian and you have someone next to you to carry you in case... aka Kayne)! Go for flats or like me, for a pair of CAT! It was like heaven, I jumped all Lenny Kravitz's concert! Sometimes even with flats, our feet can ache. Make sure to have a few bandaids in your bag... I swear it can save your day! Regarding your bag, I will suggest you to always have a cross-body bag. Unfortunately, festivals are a playground for pickpockets and we all don't want to waste and ruin a day for a theft. Then for all the crazy girls like me who are totally addict to their phone, get a portable phone charger. It will make you be able to snapchat all day without to have to stop somewhere to charge your phone again and again.
To resume : Go for flats or like me for a pair of CAT ! Have a few bandaids, just in case. Go for a cross-body bag Have a portable phone charger!
Regarding my look, those pictures were taken before leaving for Montréal. I was wearing my adidas short on a different way than usual. Not sporty at all, I decided to pair it with a blazer and a pair of black mules. I added my Dior so real sunnies to match with the "futuristic" style of the silver short!
